A Review of Data Envelopment Analysis in Airline Efficiency: State of the Art and Prospects

The rapid development of the aviation industry has brought about deterioration climate, which makes airline efficiency become a hot issue social concern. As an important nonparametric method, Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), been widely applied in evaluation. This paper examines 130 papers published period 1993–2020 to summarize literature involving special application DEA models efficiency. begins with overall review existing literature, and then radial DEA, nonradial network dynamic undesirable outputs are introduced. main advantages disadvantages above summarized, drivers analyzed. Finally, ends up future research directions conclusions.
